Wednesdays (on an ongoing basis) Art Classes with Lilly Palmer at Cranleigh Arts Centre 7.30 - 9.30pm. All abilities welcome. Lilly also takes private pupils for drawing, acrylic and oil painting lessons.
Lilly is also available for commissions of individuals' houses.
Thursday, 15th January The Cranleigh Contemporary Choir starts its new term which will run until Thursday, 2nd April (no session on Thursday, 19th February). The choir's choral director is Sharon Duggan. You just need to be able to sing in tune and in harmony (no audition necessary or the ability to read music). "asmakam the quest" by Eleanore Duggan released on CD. Following a successful stint at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Shalini Bhalla - and a rave review by Jackie Fletcher of the British Theatre Guide which said:
"Eleanore Duggan provides a beautiful soundscore of intermingled western and Indian music, and, in one scene, haunting vocals."
The soundtrack to this mesmerising dance duet has now been released and as such, you can now download it from all the major download sites, the others will follow over the next couple of weeks (this written as at 14 Oct) not sure of the exact date - the process is somewhat protracted! - or if you want an actual CD, these will shortly be available to buy directly from The Curry Inn or The Natural Life Shop in Cranleigh - or you can contact Eleanore directly at info@eleanoreduggan.com. The CD costs £7.99 and is a delight!
