Andrea is a lifelong seamstress, having created everything from her own wedding dress, clothes and costumes for her children, to six pairs of quick release trousers for a performance of the ‘Full Monty’!

In 2005, she started designing her own range of clothing and accessories for her daughter Emma’s shop, “Vintage Style” in Cranleigh. The pair set about collecting vintage and second hand clothes that needed a little TLC. Andrea now customises, mends and recycles clothes that would otherwise have reached the end of their days. She uses vintage lace, buttons and trimmings to create unique environmentally friendly clothes and accessories. Her popular designs are now sold under the label ‘Handmade by Vintage Style’, and ‘Vintage Style Customised Clothing’.

Andrea’s designs are inspired by times gone by; she uses trimmings collected from flea markets and car boot sales, fabrics from charity shops and Paris bazaars, creating garments that are drenched in personality and history. Her popular corsages are a best-seller and each season she creates new designs based on the latest trends.

Andrea is now working with Emma on a collection that they will be able to sell to other boutiques across the UK.
