Pateran is the musical identity of Jamie C, a multi-instrumentalist musician, composer and producer, whose instrumental music draws on an eclectic range of background influences from jazz, classical, rock, ethnic and dance/electronica. Inspiration for the music is triggered by bittersweet emotions, change, landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and good films.

Jamie’s sound comes from combining conventional recording of audio sources with the endless possibilities offered by midi-controlled sound generation. In his words; "combining natural sounds with computer-generated sounds seems to be the best way for me to create the music that I hear in my head".

He is seeking to collaborate with other musicians, film makers and visual artists, and is interested in undertaking remix projects.
