Katharine Gordon is a largely self-taught potter who began her career over 20 years ago in North London. After graduating from London University in Drama and Theatre Studies in 1998, her pieces began reflecting this theatrical sensibility.

Using clay as her canvas, Katharine’s unique ceramics are brilliantly coloured and painted. Decorated with celebratory, dream-like and often humorous images, her work is both practical and beautiful. Katharine's pieces are inspired by her love of poetry and music - especially the works of T.S.Eliot, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and W B Yeats.

Katharine exhibits regularly in Devon, Aylesbury and Surrey and had a sell-out show in Seattle in February 2006. She is currently exhibiting at the Red Biddy gallery in Shalford. She co-hosted an exhibition at both The Red Biddy Gallery and Cranleigh Arts Centre in the spring of 2007.
